YAP(Ce) Scintillators

Ce: YAP crystal (Chemical formula Ce: YAlO3) shows stable physical and chemical properties, high thermal conductivity, and resistance to harsh operating environments. It exhibits excellent scintillation performance, such as high light yield, and fast decay time (about 28ns). The absorption peak and excitation peak of YAP crystal are mainly concentrated in 230-300nm, and the emission wavelength is in the range of 350-390nm, which matches well with the receiving sensitive wavelength range of photomultiplier tube (PMT) and silicon photodiode (PD). Ce:YAP crystals are widely used in the field of gamma and X-ray counting, electron microscopy, electron and X-ray imaging screens, and computer tomography (CT) systems.

  • Freestanding ultra-thin scintillation screen.

  • Ultra-thin scintillation screens can be coupled to a substrate with optical adhesives in order to achieve better optical readout.

  • Scintillation screens can be inserted into frames(Aluminum, Stainless steel) for easier manipulation.

  • We can provide customized marking such as a grid, cross or scale on the surface of the screen for easier beam visualization.

  • We can provide various coating on the surface of the screen upon request, such as reflection coatings(Al, Au, Ag, etc.), AR coating, diffusion painting(TiO2, Al2O3), and conductive coatings(Al, ITO, C).
