SPM100 light guide is an important device for transmitting the light from the scintillator to the light collection device (Photomultiplier Tube (PMT) or Silicon Photomultipliers (SIPM)) in the scintillation detectors. SPM100 is made of PMMA material imported from Germany. The PMMA material we use is made by the casting process. Compared with the PMMA made by extrusion process, the PMMA material made by casting has better optical properties and longer service life.
